Why You Should Book Christmas Lights in October (Not November)

Roughly eighty percent of the searching for holiday light installation happens in November. Almost all of the good install dates are gone by then. The two facts are related.

How install calendars actually fill

Crews work a fixed number of daylight hours between mid-October and the first week of December. That is the whole season. Slots go in the order they are booked, so a November call is competing for whatever is left.

  • October bookings pick their install week, often before Thanksgiving.
  • Early November bookings get what is open, usually the first two weeks of December.
  • Late November bookings are frequently a waitlist, or next year.

Booking early costs less

We take ten percent off any install booked by October 15, and returning customers get fifteen percent off when they rebook before September. Early booking is the only discount in the business that costs you nothing to earn.

Lock your install week before the calendar fills.

You do not have to be lit in October

Booking is not the install date. Most homeowners book in September or October and choose a mid-to-late November install so the lights are on for Thanksgiving weekend. You are reserving the crew, not turning on the lights early.
